Here is how you can add your own website to Google Search Console and start your indexing journey with WarpIndex:
Getting Started with Google Search Console:
1. Sign in or Create Account:
- Go to Google Search Console.
- Sign in with your Google account or create one if you don't have it.
2. Choose Your Property Type:
- If your website has different sections or subdomains, choose Domain type.
- If you want to track only a specific part of your website, choose URL prefix type.
3. Verify Your Website Ownership:
- If you choose Domain type:
- Download the verification file.
- Upload it to your website's root directory.
- Confirm the file is accessible via the specified URL.
- Click "Verify".
- If you choose URL prefix type:
- Copy the HTML tag from Search Console to your site's <head> section.
- Save the page.
- Click "Verify".
- Alternatively, if you use Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, you can verify through those platforms.
4. Google Analytics Tracking Code (Optional):
- If you use Google Analytics:
- Ensure you have "edit" rights for the account.
- Use the same Google account for both Search Console and Analytics.
- Make sure the analytics.js or gtag.js snippet is in the <head> section of your homepage.
5. Google Tag Manager (Optional):
- If you use Google Tag Manager:
- Ensure you have Publish permission for the container.
- Use the same Google account for both Search Console and Tag Manager.
- Place the <noscript> part of the Tag Manager code right after the opening <body> tag of your page.
6. Domain Name System (DNS) Verification:
- Choose this method to verify ownership of domains or subdomains.
- Copy the unique TXT record provided by Search Console.
- Log in to your domain provider's settings.
- Add the TXT record to your domain's DNS records.
